Celebrating the athletes of Western North Carolina

The Mountain Amateur Athletic Club honors Western North Carolina athletes through annual awards, scholarships, and the Sports Hall of Fame. It celebrates excellence in both sports and life while preserving local athletic history.

The Western North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame continues its tradition of honoring the region’s most accomplished athletes and contributors.

Each year, the Mountain Amateur Athletic Club leads the nomination and selection process—recognizing individuals whose impact on sport and community has left a lasting legacy.

The 2026 induction class will continue this legacy, on October 8th, celebrating those who have shaped athletics across Western North Carolina.
